Follow us on. Merc's star performer in India gets a new look and more features for and beyond. Mercedes-Benz might have a model-strong portfolio in India, but the E-Class remains at the centre of it all. Since the model's launch inover 45, units have found buyers across the country, and even today, one in three Mercs sold in India is an E-Class. So, you can sense the urgency at Mercedes to bring the updated E to our market at the very earliest.
The latest iteration of the E-Class is here and it's here a good few months before originally planned. As before, India gets the E-Class in long-wheelbase avatar and there's the option of four-cylinder petrol E and diesel engines E dand a six-cylinder diesel E d.
This update primarily brings in a new look and added features. The E-Class' visual makeover is no mere nip and tuck job. Mercedes has grafted in a new trapezoidal grille, headlights and slimmer tail-lights to align styling with the very latest models, and the visual effect is impressive. The 5m-plus E-Class looks as regal as ever but there's a hint of sportiness too now. There are even subtle power bulges on the bonnet.
Top-spec E d versions, like our test car, make an even stronger impression. Offered exclusively in a new AMG Line trim, the E d is identifiable by its bolder grille with studded embellishments; sportier bumpers and attractive inch AMG rims.
The E-Class will be available in the usual white, grey and black colours, though an attractive Hyacinth Red is also on offer for a limited period. The changes inside are far subtler. Not that there was much need for change to begin with. The high-quality E-Class cabin continues to beautifully blend old-world warmth with new-age tech. It's an environment where surfaces finished in open pore wood and digital screens sit in visual harmony.
Among the updates inside is the new three-spoke steering wheel that looks really classy and gets upgraded touch panels to operate the central infotainment screen and digital dials. The touch sensitivity is better than the older E's steering buttons, but some controls still seem a bit fiddly.Meet the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The facelifted sedan — originally scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, before that was canceled — makes its online debut today. And not only does the updated E-Class sport a new look, but it also gets fresh tech, more modern safety equipment, and three unique trim levels for the model year. Joining the E-Class range is the Ee plug-in hybrid model, along with a refreshed E53 performance model, and the return of the rugged All-Terrain wagon for the U.
All three of these iterations will make their way stateside by the end of the year, each one with a little something different. The most obvious update to the E-Class range is the new front clip.
The sedan's headlights are slimmer with sleeker full LEDs standard on all trimsand a new grille that slopes downward; the E53 model pictured below gets more definitive vertical grille slats than on the previous model.
The rear end is new, too, with a distinctive shape and updated light fixtures that mimic those on the smaller A-Class and CLA sedans.
There's also a new touchpad in the center console the same one you'll find on other, newer Mercedes-Benz productsand fresh upholstery options on every trim. The E-Class also adopts Mercedes-Benz's latest active safety equipment.
Equipment like a new steering wheel with hands-off detection, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, active steering assist, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot assist, and a degree camera with a newly expanded side view monitor make their way to the E-Class for the first time.
As far as engines go, the E model drops its old twin-turbo V6 for Benz's latest turbocharged 3. Power stays put at horsepower kilowatts and pound-feet Newton-metersas it does in the E53 AMG.
The base E rear-wheel-drive and E 4Matic models, meanwhile, use a turbocharged inline-four engine good for hp kW and lb-ft Nm. And for the first time, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class gets a plug-in hybrid option. Dubbed the Ee confusingthe electrified E-Class pairs a 2.
Total output for the powertrain is combined hp kW and lb-ft Nm of torque, but the electric motor on its own is capable of hp 90 kW and lb-ft Nm. Neither the updated E-Class sedan nor the rugged All-Terrain model have prices yet. Expect more details as the facelifted range makes its way to the U.

Email: tips motor1.In just one look, the new E-Class Sedan captivates the senses. It starts with the all-new front end, comprised of LED headlamps that come standard, a redesigned grille with chrome pins, and AMG body cladding for a sporty, yet elegant appearance.
Even the tail lamps have been revamped to feature a new geometric design, while new colors and materials present upgrades both inside and out, and an expanded selection of wheels allows for greater customization.
Take, for example, the intelligent hands-off detection which uses sensors in the rim of the steering wheel to determine if the driver is holding the wheel and initiate Active Emergency Stop Assist when needed. In total, many of the driver assistance features offer a new level of automotive intelligence. Adding to its progressive nature, the E models have received a 3.
The MBUX multimedia system incorporates Artificial Intelligence and optional Augmented Video for Navigation, projecting graphics like arrows and house numbers directly onto the image. And for all of its advanced features, the elegant comforts of the E-Class heritage remain standard, from heated front seats to the widescreen cockpit.

See your dealer. The Mercedes-Benz E-class epitomizes sophistication with its bleeding technology, classy appearance, and extravagant cabin. It's compelling enough to earn a spot on our Editors' Choice list. Available as a four-door sedan or two-door coupe and cabriolet, the Mercedes can be made to match all manner of upper-class lifestyles. It also offers a set of distinct powertrains that range from an entry-level four-cylinder to a plug-in hybrid to a zesty turbocharged six-cylinder that makes horsepower.
The E-class family chauffeurs passengers in quiet comfort thanks to a serene interior and a pillowy ride. The experience is not unlike a smaller and more affordable version of the ultra-luxurious S-class. Mercedes-Benz introduces a mid-cycle update of the E-class lineup for The changes apply to the sedan as well as the coupe and cabriolet models.
The updates include revised front and rear styling, an all-new steering-wheel design, the latest MBUX infotainment system, and enhanced driver-assistance technology. The E replaces its twin-turbo V-6 with a new turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine. Mercedes also brings the long-promised Ee plug-in hybrid to America for the first time.
We recommend the sedan body style and advocate for the E, with its potent six-cylinder powertrain and standard 4Matic all-wheel-drive system. It comes standard with blind-spot monitoring, a fully digital dashboard, heated front seats with memory settings, an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and passive entry.
To that we'd add the optional air suspension, head-up display, heated steering wheel, multi-contour front seats with massage functions, and ventilated front-seat cushions.
Every E-class features an obedient nine-speed automatic transmission that pairs with three distinct engines. The E has a turbocharged four-cylinder that makes horsepower and lb-ft of torque. It pairs with either rear- or all-wheel drive. The plug-in-hybrid Ee is only available with rear-wheel drive, but its four-cylinder engine works with an electric motor to generate a total output of horsepower and lb-ft.
The E is powered by a turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine with a volt hybrid system that doubles as an electric supercharger. The setup sends horsepower and lb-ft to all four wheels. Since the E-class is a comfort-biased car, its handling is competent but not sporty. It leans in corners, but it rarely feels overwhelmed when pushed hard.
With the optional air suspension in its Comfort setting, the ride is creamy, and the E-class is perfect for gobbling up lots of road.Automotive intelligence is now getting exciting and dynamic: the E-Class Saloon and Estate have undergone a comprehensive update as the first representatives of this model series. Both models will arrive in the showrooms of our European dealers in summer With over 14 million Saloon and Estate models delivered sincethe E-Class is the best-selling model series in the history of Mercedes-Benz.
The tenth generation of the E-Class set styling trends in with its clean yet emotionally appealing design and an exclusive, high-quality interior. The wealth of innovations such as in the area of the driving assistance systems also was characteristic. This emotionally appealing and at the same time intelligent combination is extremely successful: to date, more than 1. The enhanced dynamics and the upgrade of the E-Class are reflected in the model range: now the entry-level model already comes with the sporty Avantgarde Line exterior.
The new front end with increased chrome content plays a role in the fresh appearance: the grille of the Avantgarde Line was redesigned with two chrome louvres and vertical high-gloss black struts. Chrome and high-gloss black trim elements in the front bumper underscore the sporty and elegant appearance. The likewise available Exclusive Line lives up to its name: the special grille, the upright star on the bonnet and the large chrome elements in the front bumper emphasise this positioning.
The seats combine the hallmark Mercedes-Benz long-distance suitability with avant-garde design. The design of the front seats accentuates the sporty aura of the interior. They offer strong lateral support without compromising on comfort. The seat contour follows the pronounced side bolsters and, depending on the specification, the centre section has sporty transverse or modern longitudinal seams.
The colours of the centre sections of the seat backrest and cushion are matched to the overall sculpture of the seats. Numerous material combinations ranging from fabric to ARTICO man-made leather to embossed leather to nappa leather with diamond quilting are possible.
The new E-Class has the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz driving assistance systems providing cooperative support to drivers. The hands-off recognition now works on a capacitive basis. This enhances user-friendliness when driving in semi-automated mode. Because to inform the assistance systems that the driver still has control of the E-Class, it is sufficient for the driver to hold the steering wheel.
A steering moment — that is to say a slight steering movement — was previously required as feedback. The new steering wheel features a pad with the appropriate sensors in the rim.
These register whether the driver is holding the wheel. If the system detects that the driver does not have their hands on the steering wheel for a certain time, a warning cascade is started, which finally activates Emergency Brake Assist if the driver continues to be inactive. In addition, signature All-Terrain components such as the radiator grille or the stylised skid plate now sport a mirror chrome finish rather than the previous silver shadow hue.
The three new paint colours available for the E-Class as part of the model refresh go by the names high-tech silver, graphite grey metallic and mojave silver. The wheel line-up has also been expanded and now includes aero wheels, which also contribute to saving fuel and thus to sustainability.
The E-Class is fitted with an entirely new steering wheel as part of the model update. It is available in three versions: as an all-leather steering wheel, in a wood-leather combination and in a supersport version. The control surfaces sport a high-gloss black finish, while the trim elements and surrounds have a silver shadow finish.
The instrument cluster and the media display are controlled by swiping along the Touch Control buttons. The operating principle of the Touch Control buttons changes from optical to capacitive. A mechanical system was no longer needed, and the touch surfaces also are less susceptible to fingerprints.
Whether the driver has control of the steering wheel, is now determined by means of capacitive detection. As standard, it includes two large Two The information in the instrument cluster and on the media display is easily legible on the large, high-resolution screens. An emotive presentation with brilliant graphics underlines the comprehensibility of the intuitive control structure. My goal was to see the Northern Lights and after a lot of research, I landed on using Nordic Visitor Tours to handle arrangements for me and my friend.
I am so glad we did. She was patient when I made changes to our schedule and made excellent recommendations, including for restaurants. We were booked solid for 6 days and 5 nights.
We did the 4x4 Jeep tour (loads of fun with Essac. We stayed at Hotel 1919 and I would highly recommend it. There was a terrific breakfast each morning and the location couldn't be beat. We saw and experienced so much that my mind was filled with Iceland for days after returning. There are geothermal sites everywhere, black beaches, waterfalls, rainbows, etc. The landscape is like nothing I've ever seen.
Kind of creepy cool. Nordic Visitor had a driver pick us up at the airport with a nice tote bag filled with all the materials we needed for our tours. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off again after each activity. Everything was seamless and hassle-free. Iceland is safe and friendly.
2021 Mercedes-Benz E-Class: New Face, Fresh Tech, And A Plug-In Hybrid
Non-Icelandic speakers get around just fine using English. I could have used another day or two to see the museums, but there was art everywhere you looked nevertheless. Overall it was a well planned trip. The days were full, driving was easy, and the geology spectacular. Some days we felt as if we were the only people around for miles.
Especially enjoyed the baths in Myvatn, whale watching and the Northern lights. I missed the daily breakfast when the trip was over It was one of the most free and liberating vacations we ever had.
It was flawless and relaxing. Thank you, Jelena, for planning it for us and listening to what we wanted to see.
Your suggestions were great and more than 2000 pictures are a good testimony to it. Larus was excellent right from our first enquiry and always replied promptly to emails. The whole booking and payment process went smoothly and all documentation arrived as advised. When we told our friends and family that we were going to Iceland they said "why, what is there to see". Since we returned we have not stopped talking about our trip and showing photos of this incredibly beautiful country such a long way from Australia.
I proudly wear my "Iceland. It is a great conversation starter. We had a wonderful time in Iceland and thought that the whole trip was organised very well indeed. The documentation supplied was excellent and we felt like we were travelling independently but with the full support of experienced local people.
The new E-Class.
Iceland was amazing and as you travel around the coast the scenery just seems to get better and better and we found our vocabulary constantly consisted of words like stunning, beautiful, fantastic and wow.
Thank you for a superb trip.Well, how would you compare the Google my business reviews with Yelp. Which one in your opinion is more important. We have a local company and we are just starting about establishing a review system. Also, from my experience, I believe tackling the bad reviews on yelp is a mess- how well Google my business reviews perform when compared.
Thanks so much for this information. I needed this today. Thank you for the awesome tips, illustrations, and instructions. Hi Travis, really well written article, with lots of thought and detail. I love your style in doing that 301 from your own site, classy.
Finesse and attention to detail are sadly rare in the digital marketing world, so thanks for showcasing the little things which different some of us. Thanks for the easy to follow directions. It worked like a charm. I posted this article to my business Facebook page. As a small business it is always nice to find ways to do things ourselves in order to cut our costs. This article was easy to follow and I am looking forward to our clients reviews. My best guess is that results may depend on when the listing was created.
When I created links for this tutorial, I created the link on an iPhone 5. Thanks for putting this info together. Any idea why that would be happening.
I noticed in your response to the previous comment you said that the link has to be generated from a mobile phone in order to work correctly. For reference, I am in the US, and your link above opens and goes straight to the star review on both my computer and iPhone.
