My blog is moving! Currently this blog is hosted on the Blogger platform. This weekend we are moving over to a self hosted WordPress site.
It is kind of like I am growing up and now I need my big girl site! On Monday, you can check back and see my whole new site with a whole new design! What does the move mean to you? It may take us a few days or week or two to get things ironed out and working smoothly again, so please be patient.
Of course when you come to the site, it will have had a facelift and be oh so much better! The plan is for things to be more clean, streamlined and well organized. Looking forward to seeing you once we have moved and are all settled in…or at least once the dust has settled. I'm KC. I'm a single mom of 2 girls who loves all things creative. Whether it's making something crafty or tackling that DIY project, I'm gonna have some fun and stay organized in the process.
I hope the guys who did the Obamacare site are not doing yours! Lub U! HaHa, Dad! Thanks…you can check out the new site anytime you want to now.
There are still a few tweeks, but mostly done. Good luck with your half marathon! Looking forward to seeing the new look and hope you will share your experience with the blog move. Hugs and Blessings, C. Your email address will not be published. Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment. Share away! More to Enjoy! My First Half Marathon!! Have stay at home orders doubled the laundry at yo.I have some crazy big news! I literally just signed the papers to my lease yesterday and was jumping up and down like a crazy person. I am so excited to be able to walk everywhere, start my job in fashion, be closer to my college friends, decorate the apartment, and just be a real grownup.
I definitely see the apartment coming together room by room. Which is exactly why I plan on sharing the rooms one by one once they are finished.
There will definitely be a learning curve as I tackle on the big bad city. Growing up in rural Connecticut, this was something I never really had to deal with. Nonetheless, I plan on continuing to post every Tuesday and Thursday about sustainable fashion, thrifted finds, and eventually things about the apartment. This one is from my Winter Causebox. It is made by Siizua company based in NYC aka my new home. They use a variety of different fabrics that are environmentally friendly. One of the coolest fabrics they use is called Seawool which is made out of recycled oyster shells.
Oysters also have a soft spot in my heart because they help remove nitrogen from the water and my boyfriend is an oyster farmer. You can see me helping with his scallop businesses here. Talk about a cool company! Any advice to someone who is moving into their first apartment? Any advice on living in New York City or Jersey?
Let me know in the comments down below. So exciting! Congratulations on the new job and new apartment! Thank you so much! I have a few weeks until I move in, but I am so excited! It will definitely be a big adventure with tons of ups and downs. Thank you so much, Ashley! Going to be a ton of fun! Super exciting! Congrats on your new position and move! I have that same poncho from my Causebox and love it!
Thank you SO much! I was literally blown away by how soft this poncho is! Do you have any posts of you wearing it? I would love to get more style inspo!
I found one and will be moving in on the 4th! This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed. As always. Share this: Pinterest Twitter Facebook. Join over 1 million people and get exclusive travel tips, giveaways and more! One year ago today, I left South America. For some reason, I feel most myself when living in South America; my heart feels at home in the Andes. As I traveled, I thought about where I might like to live and how I could get there. Returning to the US was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Reverse culture shock is no joke.
I suffered intense grief over the many losses I experienced upon leaving. This has enabled me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life, which inspired me to start English with Kimmy own small business, and write regularly here, among other pursuits. I get sucked in to this as much as the next person. I will be working with WorldTeach in the Valle del Elqui, training and supporting volunteer English teachers and teaching students myself.
I will be living within two hours of the ocean and only an overnight journey away from my friends in Santiago. I am excited to work with a highly respected, established nonprofit and to use all the skills I learned when volunteering in Peru to benefit other long-term volunteers. There is so much more to say as I continue the preparations to leave, this time indefinitely. Your email address will not be published. I'm moving to, but heading the opposite direction. Saturday, December 13, Big News!! I'm on the move Thats right! Lots of moving for me in the new year! Be yourself and enjoy having a home together. It really depends on the people usually, but I think that a shared home must not be a battlefield. Good luck! Thanks for sharing! Thanks for the comment! I moved in with my boyfriend four months ago and the hardest thing is training them to put the toilet seat down!
This is so exciting! Your new place is gonna be fab. I have only lived with someone once and I would say my biggest thing was when I first moved in I did a lot of the cleaning laundry, dishes, keeping the place generally tidy and after a little while of me doing this he quit offering to help.
He can clean his own damn plate. Certain habits will need to be adjusted. Good luck!!! Our main problem were chores. Put some music on and do it together, quicker and more fun. Just no. Everyone is making so me so excited with their comments : thanks for the idea!
So I lived with my current boyfriend before we even got together I know totally backwards and we even shared a bathroom! Of course if you lucked out and got a clean freak guy good for you! Renting my place or looking for an in-between place to stay?! You left an anon comment so I have no idea how to reach you : lmk! First off, congrats! This is huge! He would leave the laundry NEXT to the laundry basket and never do the dishes. Not to say that you should always cave, but just find a happy middle and pick and choose which things are worth getting into fights over.
Congrats SCB! Love you, mean it. Also, on moving day, do your best to not take things out on each other! That can definitely help.
Big News….I’m Moving!!
Love you. Second, PICK. I am such a particular person who does things very particularly. At the beginning of June, Ryan and I will be packing up our house and our kitties and driving allllll the way across the country from Atlanta to Portland.
I can hardly believe it!BIG NEWS // I'm moving to....!
IN a bit of shock, but really thrilled. We drove down to the Florida panhandle on Friday to go to the beach, and we were in southern Alabama when 1pm rolled around match time!! So we pulled off the highway and parked ourselves next to a gas station and this shut-down BBQ joint. It was the funniest place ever to find out the big news.
Big News: I’m Moving!
It was beautiful. We walked on the beach on Saturday morning in the fog:. And then it got bright and sunny! We spent the day lounging on the beach, and I even bought a new bikini! It was a fantastic way to celebrate. It was standing on the shore amongst a bunch of people walking around, and then it heaved up on those spindly legs and flew away.
So cool. We saw a bunch of dolphins, too. Wildlife adventure!! We had lovely dinners on the beached and asked a southern Spring Break-er to take our picture it was full-on Spring Break down there on Saturday, man oh man! Complete with a college dude in a bright red speedo and a cowboy hat strutting around and a keg buried in the sand. Oh well. Name required. Email will not be published required.
